Opening as always in Lake Placid, the tour begins November 27th and will be a celebration of some of the most memorable moments of the tour’s history – a veritable history of figure skating, no doubt.
While tickets for the tour are not available yet, skating fans can sneak in through the Fan Club to grab preferred seating for the shows of their choice.
Join the Stars on Ice Fan Club
Membership to the fan club is $35 annually, which entitles members to priority seating, special offers, and even meet-and-greets with the skaters. In order to meet the athletes at each show, you must be a member of the fan club, hold tickets for that show, and pre-register for the extra event online prior to the show. Note: Registration usually closes about 3 days before the show.
On the Fan Zone tab of the main website, access staff blogs, fan photos of the tour, skater videographies, and skating-themed puzzles – although some areas of this service are at present in great need of update.
Over 2,000 ice skating enthusiasts currently follow Stars on Ice on Twitter. Join them by texting “follow starsonice” to 40404. (Other countries may participate too via codes available on the website.)
Nearly 5,000 fans presently follow their favorite performers on the Stars on Ice Facebook page. This is another opportunity to join discussion groups regarding favorite programs and skaters.

The Best of Stars on Ice, Volumes I-III are among the videos available for purchase through the Stars on Ice store. By mugs, shirts, jackets, current and past programs, and photos of the cast are for sale there too.
Tickets for the 2011 Tour
This year’s tour has yet to be posted. This has caused some speculation as to why the tour dates have not even been announced beyond a few events hinted at in the blogs. There is no word as to why the omissions this close to show time, but it has been confirmed that all will be revealed and on sale October 9, 2010.
Ice Skaters Performing with Stars on Ice
While the exact line-up has yet to be announced, expect to see the usual crowd pleasers, like Michael Weiss, and present champions – that might not include Evan Lysacek. He announced earlier that he will not be competing this season, but it is not yet conclusive whether or not he will be performing again with Stars on Ice.
The assumption is that he will be on the tour; his hiatus from competitive figure skating will likely end just prior to the 2011 US Nationals. The US, World and Olympic Champion says his schedule is simply too packed to accommodate competition. He hopes to be able to focus on his charities this year, among other things.
